In a new offer to racegoers and music fans alike, Tribute Weekend has been announced for Saturday 21  & Sunday 22 May. As well as seven competitive races, there will be a live concert by MANIA- the tribute to ABBA after racing on Saturday, with Majesty Queen performing in tribute to Freddie Mercury and his bandmates on Sunday. On the track, Saturday sees the Group 3 William Hill Bronte Cup, with Sunday as a part of the new Sky Bet Series. As is the convention for York on a Sunday, the dress code in County Stand will be relaxed and the two enclosures of Grandstand & Paddock and Clocktower Enclosure, combined.

To allow you to book with confidence, York Racecourse  will continue to offer a full refund, before gates opening time of the raceday the purchase relates, to anyone who tests positive for Covis-19, is in voluntary self isolation or feels unwell - so book and give yourself something to look forward to for this spring.

As the course of this pandemic has demonstrated, the positive outlook for 2022 as highlighted by the removal of legal restrictions from 24 February is tempered by the understanding that there can be no guarantees about the future. Though typically the incidence of respiratory infections would decline in the better weather of May onwards and customers can be reassured that York Racecourse will take whatever steps are required to provide a day that is both enjoyable and cogniscent of public health.
