We’ve been very busy elves over at York Racecourse!
After a successful (and somewhat scorching) summer over at the Knavesmire, we are switching on our Christmas lights! We’re ready for old friends and new to enjoy a party or two with us this December. The Racecourse is a great party place and we look after more than 4,500 guests every festive season. As the night creep in, we’re ready to do it all again from 29 November to 19 December – just for you!
Cracking company, cheers, cheese and Christmas pudding, what’s not to love? Jingle all the way to York Racecourse for a proper Christmas party.
Bring your party to our party, and experience one of the best nights out, and all under one roof! Better still, we’ve even got two options – choose from Band or Disco. Both events come with a roast carvery choice main course with all the tasty trimmings. Of course, being Yorkshire folk, we’ve got plenty of Yorkshire puddings and, rather controversially to some… we’ll even let you have one with your turkey too!

We’ll then seat you at your table to enjoy a delicious meal lovingly crafted by our merry brigade of chefs.
We won’t make you eat sprouts if you don’t want to, we promise…
A word from Our Executive Chef:
“When people ask me for tips and tricks, I tell them to always use the best ingredients and to keep it simple. For example, my Yorkshire pudding recipe is just 3+3+3 – Flour, Eggs and Milk, measured in a cup. Easy!”
To follow your festive feast – shake, shake, shake like a Christmas snow globe. Shimmer onto that dance floor and enjoy a range of music past and present. With a sprinkling of festive floor-fillers from our resident DJs, and for those of you who fancy some live music we’ve got another Yorkshire treat in party band the Monotones, you might have seen them performing during our summer race days.
It’s similar to our other day job in racing, we all want that winner – and you can win too when you book a meal or two, or more – the more the merrier…

Why not stay a little longer?
York is a vibrant city full of history and lots to see and do, starting with the Christmas market. Toasty Thor’s Tipi supplies your mulled wine, and the city has a dazzling display with more than 200,000 LED lights, covering over 50 streets and stretching over 15 kilometres.
There is a good range of accommodation close to York Racecourse (there is even one rather appropriately called Stableside). We have some free parking at the venue for those driving and taxis a plenty (remember to book yours).
There are cobbled streets and snickelways, fabulous festive lights, drive-bys, walks and trails.
And remember to pop your letter to Santa in the sparkling, illuminated post-box in the Museum Gardens!
