There’s something truly magical about a wedding at York Racecourse. Long before the first guest arrives or the champagne corks pop, I’m already hard at work, crafting unforgettable moments from a bride’s very first enquiry to the final dance beneath our twinkling lights.

It all begins with a conversation and each enquiry is personal. Every couple arrives with a vision, whether it’s timeless elegance, bold seasonal colour, or a whimsical racing-inspired theme. They’ve already had the tour with Rebecca, guiding them through their stunning suites, such as the Ebor Suite with sweeping views across the course, or the Parade Ring perfect for intimate celebrations. These first visits are where many fall in love with the space.

From there, planning truly starts with the initial e-mail to me. We then meet in the chosen room, to curate everything from table layouts and floral schemes. Whether it’s classic ivory and green, rustic pastels, or opulent jewel tones, we work closely with the bride and groom to create their dream. Watching blank canvas spaces evolve into dream settings never loses its thrill.

The day before the wedding is a flurry of activity for a venue stylist. They make sure chair sashes are tied, centrepieces are positioned, signage is placed with care, plus countless other details to make your day perfect. On the morning itself, as the bridal party prepares, we’re checking every detail: aisle runners straight, glasses gleaming, timing perfected.

And then—the moment. Guests arrive, music begins, and for a while, time stands still. Seeing a couple’s joy makes every meticulous hour worthwhile. Working with York Racecourse isn’t just a job; it’s a privilege to be part of so many love stories.
