It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Knavesmire.
We’re totally in the Santa zone here at York Racecourse, we’ve got the biggest and best seasonal shopping event in Yorkshire, the Living North Christmas Fair taking place from 20th –  23rd November 2025.

All your Christmas shopping under one roof! Join us for a jam-packed day with more than 250 carefully selected stands, from artisan designer-makers, local food producers and fashion retailers to homewares, gifts and accessories, and of course special Christmas decorations.

And so, what have we got in store for whilst you shop until you drop you may ask. Our hospitality team have got a new addition to our fantastic cafés this year – we’ve got a delicious aromatic scent emanating from our new alpine shed offering winter-warming mulled wine, and we’ve got hot chocolate and marshmallows too. Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a tasty mince pie on the side!

Once we close the doors on this fantastic festive fair, the magic all starts to happen at York Racecourse… as we prepare to welcome more than 3,000 partygoers to our annual Christmas Parties.

It’s never too late – we can always find room at the inn for anyone hankering for a delicious homemade roast dinner and a good boogie, we host some great Christmas parties from 29th November onwards with places still available, what better way to get into the festive spirit than at a York Racecourse party night.

Prices from £54.50 per person.

Mince Pie facts:

One of Britain’s favourite Christmas boozy fruit pastry treats was originally a savoury pie – and not even round! In the Tudor period they were rectangular, shaped like a manger and often had a pastry baby Jesus on the lid. They were made from 13 ingredients to represent Jesus and his disciples and were all symbolic to the Christmas story.
