Celebrate Mother’s Day at York Racecourse

05/02/2026

After a successful Christmas party season over at the Knavesmire, we are turning our attention to all things Spring-like, and celebrating that special woman in many of our lives.

Following International Women’s Day on 8 March we then turn our sights to Sunday 15 March, always an important day in the calendar – Mothering Sunday.

Of course, there are many women who have shaped our lives and who deserve our thanks, not just the one who brought you into being, and so let’s take this opportunity to also celebrate all the mothers in life; the biological and elected, the blood and the chosen, from stepmums to school nurses, animal mother’s, those foster mum’s, work mum’s, house mum’s, and the welcomed casual motherly figures.

To celebrate them all, we’ve got a delicious three-course home cooked meal to celebrate and enjoy at a great value £42.50 per person (U12 can eat at half price). The Racecourse is a great place to dine, and of course being Yorkshire folk, we’ve absolutely got Sirloin of beef, heritage carrots, parsnip, and good old Yorkshire pudding, beef dripping roast potatoes, buttered mash and cauliflower cheese on the menu. You can view and pay your deposit online or call our friendly team for more information and book on 01904 638971.

While thinking of all things Spring and lighter days and nights, we’ve also got a great show coming soon to the venue:

Living North LIVE takes place at York Racecourse on 20 – 22 March 2026

Yorkshire’s leading homes, gardens, shopping, food and lifestyle event. With stylish shopping, live demonstrations, talks and tastings, Living North LIVE brings you inspiring ideas for your home and garden, great gifts, delicious food and unique accessories that you won’t find anywhere else. There is a café kitchen for that all important coffee and cake stop, or why not sample a delicious light brunch.
